If you have a podcast then you should really start looking at what corporate types advertise on radio. These big guys would make good prospects for show sponsorship for your podcast or other new media projects.
According to the Radio Advertising Bureau for the first quarter 2007, Radio’s leading growth top 3 categories were:
1) Communications/cellular/public utilities
2) Concerts/Theaters/Movies
3) Health Care
So if the focus of your podcast or new media project falls in one of these categories, then I suggest you get your media kit together, get your website in top form, prepare your sponsorship presentaion and start pitching to those corporations!
